About Us
-
Yes!
No out-of-state interests.
No outside investors.
No bullshit.
-
Our legal address is 1426 Bucksmills Road in Bucksport, however this is a personal residence, so please respect the privacy of our owner.
Our team is 100% remote. We don’t need a physical location because materials are delivered directly to the job site, which allows us to deliver a more affordable price while improving the quality of our services.
-
We have W-2 employees, not 1099 subcontractors. This ensures we remain invested in the business, ensuring you have long-term support.
-
Yes, our work is installed by one of our three licensed electricians. We are also insured, and provide a 5-year workmanship warranty.
-
We stopped installing arrays that use DC optimizers, and we haven’t had issues since.
Our microinverters and string inverters have proven to be considerably more reliable, so we simply don’t need a dedicated service department.
If something does go wrong, we can easily pull one of our three licensed electricians from a new installation to service your equipment if necessary.
Warranties
-
Our installations are warrantied for 5 years, and cover defects in regard to labor and workmanship.
-
Our rooftop solar panels have a 25 year product warranty and 30 year performance warranty.
Our ground mount solar panels have a 12 year product warranty and 30 year performance warranty.
-
Our grid-tied inverters for rooftop arrays are warrantied for 25 years.
Our grid-tied inverters for ground mount arrays are warrantied for 10 years.
All of off-grid inverters are warrantied for 10 years.
-
Our off-grid batteries are warrantied for 10 years.
Grid-Tied & Off-grid Solar
-
Yes, we install both rooftop and ground-mounted solar arrays.
-
We only install batteries for off-grid systems.
-
Yes and no.
We are locals, so we know that a Maine Winter will easily kill you if you don't have heat. Since many of our off-grid customers are inaccessible during the Winter, we require a redundant power source (e.g. wood stove or gasoline generator) to ensure you stay warm over Winter. Being off-grid is about being prepared, and we are willing to help you be prepared, but we are not 911.
However, if you are having an issue with your system, you become our priority. We can’t promise to arrive within 24 hours, but we will try our best to arrive within a couple weeks.
Finances
-
The Federal Government provides a 30% tax credit for solar and battery installations.
A tax credit is not the same as a rebate. Please speak with your accountant to discuss how you can benefit from the tax credit.
-
You will payback the cost of your array in roughly 6-8 years, but there are a lot of factors at play. Each of our proposals includes a financial analysis, and we show our math, so reach out for a free consultation to see how your custom solar array will perform.
