Frequently Questions

About Us

  • Yes!

    No out-of-state interests.

    No outside investors.

    No bullshit.

  • We price our arrays, so you break even in about 6-8 years, but there are a lot of factors at play. We do a decent job summarizing the details, so please reach out for a free estimate.

  • Our legal address is 1426 Bucksmills Road in Bucksport, however this is a personal residence, so please respect the privacy of our owner.

Our team is 100% remote. We don’t need a physical location because materials are delivered directly to the job site.

  • We install solar all over the state!

  • We use W-2 employees exclusively. This ensures we are invested into the business, and provides long-term stability for both of us.

About Warranties

  • Our installations are warrantied for 5 years, and covers both labor and workmanship.

  • Ou solar panels are warrantied for 25-30 years.

  • Our inverters are warrantied for 25 years.

  • Our batteries are warrantied for 15 years.

About Services

  • Yes, we specialize in rooftop solar arrays.

  • We install grid-tied battery systems, but we don’t install off-gri systems.

  • We no longer install ground mounts. We pride ourselves on quality, and we can build better quality rooftop arrays than anyone else. In order to match that quality on the ground, we would need some very expensive equipment.

  • No, you don’t need a dedicated service department when you only install high-quality equipment. Our arrays rarely malfunction, and we have redundant electricians on our crews, so it’s easy for us to pull an electrician from our installation crew.

About Finances

  • The Federal Government provides a 30% tax credit for solar and battery installations, which is not the same as a rebate. Please speak to your accountant for more information.

There are even more incentives for businesses and non-profits. Give us a call to learn more!

  • Our prices are designed to provide a payback period of roughly 6-8 years.

Please know that this varies greatly based on the circumstances of your roof, terrain, and whether you’re paying in cash or financing.

  • Our partners at VSECU provide the best loan programs we’ve seen in the entire solar industry.

We chose VSECU because they are an ethical organization that doesn’t charge hidden fees or prepayment penalties.

To get the latest information on financing, please visit VSECU’s website.

About Technology

  • Our solar panels are warrantied for 25-30 years depending on the brand we select for your installation.

We will never install low-quality, budget solar panels. We install Tier 1 solar panels exclusively, because they provide more value and less hassle over time.

  • Short Answer

Clipping occurs when a solar array produces more DC power than an inverter can convert to AC power.

    Long Answer

Your solar array is sized to produce more DC power than your inverter can convert to AC power. This ensures your inverter runs more throughout the day, providing you with greater overall production. With microinverters, this ensures greater production occurs in subpar conditions (e.g. shading, snow, dust, pollen, leaves, pine needles, bird crap, etc.)

The only downside is that your inverter will “clip” (i.e. waste) energy at peak sun exposure, so a little clipping is good, but too much is bad.

  • Our batteries do not contain cobalt.
