About Us
-
Yes!
No out-of-state interests.
No outside investors.
No bullshit.
-
Our legal address is 1426 Bucksmills Road in Bucksport, however this is a personal residence, so please respect the privacy of the homeowner.
Our team is 100% remote. We don’t need a physical location because materials are delivered directly to the job site, which allows us to deliver a more affordable price while improving the quality of our services.
-
Subcontracting has allowed us to substantially improve quality, efficiency, and customer experience.
The best folks in our industry tend to open their own businesses, because they are talented and they know it. We want to work with the best, exclusively, which is why we switched to subcontractors in 2025. -
Yes, our work is always installed by a licensed electrician and we are fully insured.
-
As a small, boutique installer, we don’t haven’t needed a service department. We have the luxury of taking our time during the design and installation to prevent maintenance issues down the road. When an issue does arise, we are able to send a couple Chickadees out without much challenge.
Warranties
-
Our installations are warrantied for 5 years, and cover defects in labor and workmanship.
-
Our solar panels are warrantied for 30 years.
-
Our off-grid inverters are warrantied for 10 years.
-
Our litihium-ion batteries are warrantied for 10 years.
The design life is 20-25 years depending on the exact battery we choose.
Off-grid Solar
-
Yes, we prefer ground-mounted solar arrays, but we also rooftop arrays when appropriate.
-
All of our off-grid installations require modern, lithium-ion batteries.
-
Absolutely, not.
Living off-grid requires preparedness, which is constantly emphasized during the design phase of your installation. We install robust equipment to prevent emergencies from happening, but we live in Maine, so a redundant power source is always recommended in the name of safety.
Finances
-
No, they were repealed in 2025.
